He Cares For You

"Casting all your care upon him;
for he careth for you."
1 Peter 5: 7

This is the verse that I picked to memorize/meditate on for the first two weeks of February. Last Saturday I was thinking that I needed to pick out a new verse to have ready for the first day of February (Sunday) but never got around to doing it. Then on Sunday morning when our Pastor gave us the Scripture for his sermon, I knew I had found my verse!

The verses we pick on the 1st and the 15th of the month are supposed to be verses that mean something to us personally...a verse that we NEED. I need this verse. It seems like lately there are a whole lot of cares in my life. All this week I have quoted this verse to myself. I have said, "Casting ALL your care upon him; for he careth for you." I have said, "Casting all your care upon HIM; for he careth for you." I have said, "Casting all your care upon him; for HE careth for you." I have said, "Casting all your care upon him; for he CARETH for you." I have said, "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for YOU." You get the picture! God wants us to give our cares and problems to Him! Why? Because He cares for us so very much!

I have asked the Lord this week to take my cares and to help me to not come and take them back! I feel so weak and helpless most of the time. I really do need God's care and His help. He is so able to meet every need we have. I just need to be able to trust Him more.

What about you? Do you have some cares that you need to cast upon Him? Then...do it! Because He cares for you!

Amen! I love that verse...what a comfort to know he cares for us...even though we don't deserve his love and grace!

Thank you so much for your devotional today. I needed it so much. I had my gallbladder removed today, my daughter is experiencing stomach problems to which we cannot seem to get the help we need from a doctor, and Chris's health is going downhill again. I know that God hs a plan in all of this, and that He will see us through it. Thanks for reminding me to cast ALL my care upon HIM.

I love the way you repeated the verse in your post. By the time one is finished your post one can have the verse memorized!! I'm glad that you refreshed it in my memory. Thanks for that!

Marilyn,

What a delight, when we have a scripture for the "now" of the moment we are walking through. Thank you for sharing yours, and many blessings as your remember and I remember....He cares for us.

Lovingly,
Yolanda

Sometimes I think He must get so tired of hearing all my cares. He is, however, always ready to listen. No matter how needy we are, we simply can't wear Him out with our needs. He is faithful!!
So just cast away those cares on Him!

Oh yes. My plans for this weekend were most exciting, but exhausting. In prayer I saw that I need to stay home and attend to some home maintenance and writing projects. It will be very quiet because family and friends think I'm going out of town.

I believe as I casted my concerns for doing all I had on my calendar He showed me His way. I'm learning if I will go to Him and listen He has a way I haven't considered.

I find myself writing this and imagining if I had gone ahead and "done it all" what price it have cost me next week.

He not only cares for us and can handle our cares; He has a way where there seems to be no way.
