Sunny Days Are Here Again

The sunshine is back ! After having rain every day last week the sun was a welcome sight today! I had a song running through my head all morning. Partly because of the beautiful sunshine and partly because I was planning to see my grandbabies after not seeing them for over a week. (They had been on vacation in FL) The song was "You Are My Sunshine"! I love to sing that to my grandbabies cause that seems to best describe my feelings for them!

"You are my sunshine. My only sunshine. You make me happy, when skies are gray. You'll never know dear, how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away!"

To those of you who prayed for my speaking engagement for Sav-A-Life last Friday night, Thank You! It went really well. The ladies were were very responsive. In fact there was one lady who had just retired.... Friday was her last day at her job.....that came up to me afterward and said..."I want to be a volunteer! What do I need to do?" I told her the first step is to come to the office and get an application to fill out. To that she replied, "I'll be there Monday morning!" I don't work on Mondays so don't know if she followed through today or not. If not, maybe she will soon. (Update! She DID come in and get an application! PTL!)

Here is the Bible verse that I am meditating on for the last two weeks of May: "I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever; with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations." Psalm 89: 1

I pray that not only will I sing "You Are My Sunshine" to my grandbabies but that I will also sing "Jesus Loves Me" with them and tell them about the faithfulness of the LORD!

What song runs through your mind and heart when you are happy?

I too sing, Jesus loves you, to my grandbabies!

A song that runs through me in joyous times is:

Praise Him, Praise Him in the morning......

I sing Oh, Let the Sun Shine In (face it with a grin, open up your heart and let the sun shine in,,,) to our little girl...and Jesus Loves Me, and I've Got the Joy, Joy, and...the list goes on!
The sun is trying to shine here, but it's been raining, and cold!!

Sing??? Oh you would rather I not....really!! It is not a joyful noise. Anyway, often I wake up in the morning with a song in my head or one hits me in the middle of the day. I think the Lord uses the words to speak to me or teach me something.

He is such a creative One, our Lord. He uses so many different avenues to speak to us.

Love ya,

Leah

Ms. Marilyn,
My sweet daddy used to sing "You are my Sunshine" to me quite often. I miss him so much, but I know he's in Heaven! Thanks for reminding me of him and that song!

Love,
Rhond

I guess my favorite song for me is "Amazing Grace." It seems so fitting for my life.

Love you,

OH...so glad your event went so well. Exciting to read about your new volunteer!!!

I sing songs like, "Praise you in the morning when I see the sun arising..." or "I've got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart..." or "This is the day, this is the day, that the Lord has made, that the Lord has made..."

With a song in my heart,
Joy
