Fresh From the Field

Thought I'd share pictures of some of my hubby's produce that he brought up fresh from the field! Wonder if fresh produce like this is what prompted the Isralites to say this while wandering through the desert.......
"We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:" Numbers 11: 5

The cut watermelon in the picture is a Black Diamond variety and, boy, was it ever good! Isn't it just awesome all the good things God made for us to eat!

Sorry this is so short today but did want to take a minute to share these melons and 'punkins with you in pictures! Fall has arrived!

God bless you !

Marilyn

If you were closer I'd just have to drop by. I can smell and taste that watermelon. Have a great day, friend.

I'm not a gardener, Marilyn, but I so appreciate the fresh produce from my friend's harvest. And what makes yours better than the Israelites...there's no slavery attached to the tasting! (at least not the brick and mortar kind of work).

We ended up with a lot of yellow watermelon this year. The 'biggie' was pretty close to 40 lbs. When we took the first one to a church fellowship dinner one of the first comments was that is was anemic - until they tasted it - but they still enjoyed them. Thanks for sharing.
